Q & A

In partnership with multiple Pennsylvania agencies serving older adults, the Prime Time Health Program of the Pennsylvania Department of Aging developed the FRIENDS program, an interdisciplinary, community-based fall risk screening and education program for older adults. The FRIENDS program is provided free to older Pennsylvanians at locations throughout the state. It consists of a fall risk screening to identify older adults who are at high risk of falling, as well as educational materials and referrals for fall prevention topics, such as home safety, medication effects, and strengthening and balance exercises.
